DNA-Clock
Metabolic reactions in living organisms are coordinated by circadian clocks. These clocks arise from gene regulatory networks composed of biomolecules such as DNA strands, enzymes, and substrates. Inspired by the principles of such networks—rather than using them directly—we developed a periodic DNA-based reaction system termed “DNA-oscillation.” In this study, YOKABIO aims to alter the period of DNA-oscillation by covalently modifying the template DNA with amino acids, thereby constructing a more environmentally robust system. We refer to this concept as the DNA-Clock.
